Pilates Classes

At BodyInBalance we provide in person group classes, one to one sessions or remote online pilates and HIIT classes in Northampton.

Pilates offers a different way of thinking about your body. Through practising Pilates movements, you will become more self-aware and better able to take control of your body and your life.

The benefits of Pilates are that you begin to understand and appreciate not only your strengths, but also your weaknesses. Once you have mastered a strong Pilates body you are more able to go on to tackle stronger and faster exercise regimes, such as aerobics, interval training and jogging.

Christine Nightingale


In October 2005 Chris joined Northamptonshire Police as the Health and Fitness Advisor for the Force, where Chris trained local Police Officers with their fitness requirements. Chris ran and maintained Force gymnasiums, and personal trained members of their staff.

Whilst working for Northamptonshire Police Chris continued studying and gained both Swedish and Sports massage qualifications. After which Chris was able to work alongside the Force Doctor and Physiotherapist massaging and writing rehabilitation programmes for injured Police Officers based around Pilates moves.

After successfully gaining a Certificate in Education Chris spent two years working for the Sports Department of Moulton College where she lectured on both the sports and massage courses. This part-time role enabled Chris to run her own private Pilates and exercise classes in the local vicinity, which Chris has been doing for several years. Some of our BodyInBalance clients have been with Chris for that length of time doing Pilates.
